2305 Collection System

No, it's not an I-Match hitch compatible unit. I put the Trac Vac on yesterday to do some cleaning up. It took me less then 10 minutes to take the I- match hitch off and put the blower unit on and go. My father-in-law is running the power flow unit on he’s 2210 and it works ok. But no were near this Trac Vac unit, it literally pulverizes the leaves, grass what ever goes thought blower to ¼” to ½” size pieces and a lot of the stuff, turns to dust. The cart capacity is 52 bushel of leaves, very easy to unload. The best thing is with the rear pto hookup you don’t have a pony motor to worry about or a belt drive off your mower deck.

Lobo
Where did you buy it and how much did you pay? Did you have to modify your deck at all. Last question since it's PTO driven can you take the collector hose off the MMM and use it to clean out gardens beds and the like?

I picked mine up used for $600 complete from a guy up the road. He used it twice and was having problems with the drive belts slipping, wasn’t to mechanically inclined and couldn’t figure out the problem got very frustrated and sold it. When I got the Vac home I found the adjustable pulleys set to wide, so the drive belts were bottoming out on the pulley. Did some adjustments on the pulleys and it's been running great for 2 years now. They sell a bed kit to go with this Vac, don’t have one my self. No modifications, but I had to buy the 62c mower boot $127. New the unit is around $2700.

Wow Lobo, you really won the lottery on that one, what a deal! I inquired about one as well a few weeks ago, Lobo's price is right on, I think I found one for about $2500 complete w/ cart in central Jersey. Unfortunately that's a little out of my budget for now. Looks like I'll have to become buddies with Lobo so I can borrow his as he's in Jersey as well. :) (Just kidding)

I am looking into this true vac setup myself and seems great, but where in NJ did you find this? I just started researching options and this might be a good option...
Thanks

Go to the trac vac website and do a dealer search in NJ.

I looked into a true vac system before I bought the Trac Vac, I personally think the Trac Vac is a better built unit. But that's just my opinion someone else my think the True vac is better.

Not to take anything away from the Trac Vac unit (Loeb, that is a smoking deal), but I had very good luck with the AgriFab unit on my former 2210. This unit is complete and less than $1,000. These units are at Tractor Supply Company, TSC and Rural King.

If memory serves me right, it was 8hp and did a very nice job.

My brother- in -law has that same AgriFab Vac bought he's at TSC to. I'm glad it working out for you; he wishes he never bought he’s. The sheet metal on he’s cart is so thin less then a 1/16” and it has the cheapest axle setup I ever seen, the cart alone without the vac and top is only $110.00 at TSC. I helped my brother- in -law put he’s together; you have more bolts holding everything together on that cart. The Trac Vac cart comes in one piece 1/8” steel construction with heavy angles holding the axle in place. Comparing AgriFab stuff to a Trac Vac is like comparing an X-series JD lawn tractor to a Craftsman lawn tractor. You’re talking home owner equipment to a commercial grade unit. I learned my lesson years ago to keep away from chain store equipment it’s just doesn’t hold up and you can’t get parts.

Lobo, I'm not comparing the quality of your TracVac to AgriFab, but rather suggesting there are alternatives to paying $2500, new price for a TracVac. No question, you have a great unit and I suspect anyone on this site following this discussion with a 2210 or similar unit wish they had one, self included, but not everyone wants to spend $2500 on a new unit. Like yourself and I suspect this would be true for many of the guys following this post, if a unit like that became available at the price you paid it would be resting with the rest of my toys.

FYI... you don't need to lecture me about the difference between department store equipment vs. commercial grade.
