Hi all,
Whenever I get into one of my implement building moods, I have to ask myself "what else can I do"? I have always wanted to run a grapple for picking up piles of brush and securing large piles of loge. At the same time, I have always wanted to have a rear hydraulic in my tph.
My questions boil down to this.
1) Is either of these options possible. I did once see a video of a grapple that ran on its own hydraulic container, piston, and had only to be electrically connected to the tractor for operation. Sounds perfect. Sounds fishy too Any thoughts
2) I would love to have a hydraulic 3pth. Seems like it would do wonders for the toplink. to those out there who have this, is is worth the cost. Also, is top-n-tilt an option? At times I wish I had this for grading. Is it at all practical?
3) What is involved in splicing into hydraulic lines. While these options sound great I imagine that they require quite a bit of modification with more possible problems.
Of all the options, the grapple is most appealing. If I were to do this, should I get a new bucket specifically for grappling? What would be involved in mounting/dismounting? I presently have a 54 inch bucket that is showing a bit of age but still works wonderfully.
As always, any thoughts appreciated
