When my mowing height adjustment dial is turned to the highest setting the blade height is around or just under 3". I tried playing around with the yokes but for some reason when have the left side set up so that the lift arm comes within 2mm of the frame stop and on the right side I have to lower it quite a bit to make the deck level. So basically I tried to adjust the yokes to make the deck higher but had no luck. The only thing left that I can think of would be to adjust the lift rod assembly but the manual doesn't state that it's purpose is to adjust the min. and max. mowing heights so before I fiddle around with that I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas of how I can adjust my mowing height. Also I don't have a large enough metric wrench so before I borrow one I wanted to know if adjusting the lift rod would do anything.

wx,

My highest setting on my 2210 is a bout 3-1/2" - 4". I do know that I turn the knob to just on the edge of the lock position, so ~ 5-1/2 on the setting.

Watch when you adjust the rod going from the three point arm up to the deck adjustment linkage. If you over adjust it just a little it will bend that rod so fast you wont believe it. I recommend after each adjustment you manually test it with out using the hydraulics.

Adjusting the link rod will balance out the lift arms so they are both at 2mm (or whatever...) off the frame stops. When the lift arms are even at top and bottom, then you can level the deck. I bet you'll have much more hieght on the cutting level...

Thanks VABlue, sounds like I might be able to kill two birds with one stone by adjusting the lift rod. I'll borrow a wrench today and try to adjust it tonight. Anyone know what size the nuts are on the lift rod?

Well I can't say that I really know which way I turned the lift rod but the end result is that now the cutting height at with the dial at the highest setting is 4-1/2" vs. the 2-3/4" that I started with. It's still not the 5" that it should be but I'm going to quit before I break something. Thanks!
