Last week I broke off one of the light set-ups on the ROPS while mowing (I know, probably would not have happened if I had a 62c ). While replacing the entire light and and fully connecting all wires, I noticed a spare set of wires (red & black) attached to a plastic connector, randomly fastened to the bundle of wires for the ROPS lights. I thought it may have become disconnected while I was working under there, but for the life of me, I could not, and still cannot figure out where this spare wire connects to??

Does anyone know - is this an extra set up Deere included to attach extra work lights?? Or am I really missing something??

Thanks for you feedack.

You are correct. It is an extra connector for the optional rear work light. The red wire should have a yellow stripe on it. To install a light kit, you only need to bolt on the light, connect the wire, and install the proper fuse in the fuse box.

Dern 54" decks! I also broke a plastic lens cover over one of my worklights. One of these days I'll move the lights inside the ROPS...

Exactly! Move the lights inside the ROPS - switch them side-side so that their orientation remains correct. I did that even with the light guards...
