hi i have a john deere 2305 can some one help me.dose john deere make a sheild for the fan thats cools the transmission. i no it has a small one already but i want some thing to help protect the fan when bushhogging? thanks.

Welcome to TBN

JD does not make a shield (although they should) to protect the fan. There are plenty of threads in the JD forums about this-searching the term "fan" there will help a lot. Some have made there own...

I believe Bro-Tek who started out just making Kubota BX model skid plates to protect their hydro fan also make one for the JD 2305.

I'd definatly get this shield.
I chewed ALL the fins off of my 2210's (same as 2305 now) fan. I just drove in the woods, and a stick went up in there and made a grinding noise, and then the noise went away! (fins all gone thats why!)

I put 300 Hrs on it like that and nothing ever went wrong, and I worked it alot harder than it was made for!
