I wasn't doing a comparison between the 2xxx series and the 4000 series, I was trying to point out that the best tractor may not necessarily be the one with the best numbers, but rather the one that feels the best to the operator while meeting his needs.

As you point out, there is 3 hp difference between PTO HP between the 4100 and 4010 with the 4010 only having 14. While the number may seem low when your looking numbers in on paper or in an email, my point is that even though it's only 14, the wimpy little 4010 still has enough power for my needs while running 2 implements at the same time. While it's torque number in comparison to the 2510, 2320 4100, etc may be low relatively, in real world operation it is ample. By the way I also run a 60 inch tiller with it.

personally my opinion on runing a 60 " tiller on 14 PTO is on the big side for that machine (especially if its never been tilled before). You will have an issue running that big of a box blade on the same machine IMHO. My neighbor has the same machine, and I had to finish the leveling with my machine (it was my box blade) on basically level ground on a 2 acre plot. I never went over 1800 RPM on the 2520...
Honestly if I had both units I would unload the 4010 and keep the 4100. The resale will be higher, performance is better, and you can add liquid in the tires and reverse them, and I assure you the stability will be better than the 4010. This isnt a knock on the 4010, its just highlighting your decision and your options and throwing in my thoughts.

The main difference from my standpoint would be the ability to use larger mowers. If you do want a 72" mower then get the 2520. The 2320 will only handle a 60" finish mower and 48" rotary mower while the 2520 will handle one foot bigger each. Also as noted the hydraulics are faster. This was no big deal for me as I will only put 100-200 hours a year on my machine for various chores and the hydraulic speed would only net me an hour or so savings per year. If I planned on using it daily for extened periods of time then this would be a much larger issue, but those days are behind me.

For my 6 acres, I can easly take care of it with the 2320. The motor is planty capable and has plenty power for this small a machine. This was the smallest tractor I have ever owned and so far I like it very well. While it is no match for some of the full size Backhoes I use to have, it does take care of my property nicely and that is what I bought it for.

Just to throw my experience in . . .I have a 2320 with a 5' deere rotary cutter and a 5' tiller and both run completely fine. I have very hilly terrain and although I go slow un the uphills cutting, I don't think it's the cutter limiting my speed. I find them both perfect fits for my tractor. A 4' in either case for me would not be any faster, would take me more time, and not cover my wheels. A 2305 and I'd have definitely stuck with 4'. I didn't expect that when I bought it (debated the 2520), but I am VERY impressed.
