I meant I cycled them on the 2210.
The 2520 starts like a car even in the cold!

Lots of good stuff already posted... so I'll just comment on a couple things.
I've had a 2210 and now own both a 2520 & 2305. IF you're using the cold start procedure w/2210/2305, 2320, they can and will probably start just a tad quicker than my 2520... note... I said a TAD only. I ran both briefly again today on a very cold day... so I know ;). Both start very quickly. Though the 2520 is nice with the direct direction... simply turn the key and you're off. :)

For me... there is very little advantage going to a 2320 over a 2305. IF someone wants more tractor (speed, clearance, 3 pt control, ect...) go with the 2520 and look past the 2320. The hydraulics are MUCH quicker as Duc pointed out in the 2520. If those things aren't necessary... then save the money and go with a 2305. I'm not bashing the 2320 but as already noted... a few who have tried the 2320 were disappointed and either made the immediate step up to a 2520 (Duc) or stepped right back down into the 2210/2305 (Johndeere2210). All 3 are phenomenal machines... but the 2320 is just to close of a machine to the 2305 to pay $2k+ extra for unless you are simply after more clearance and a 3 pt control. For me, the 2520 is the only reasonable step from a 2305. Have fun shopping...

Great post Shawk!!! I agree about the clearance and 3pt control being superior on the 2320 vs the 2305... I would add that IF you wanted to add a backhoe AND were using a MMM - the 2320 could be a better choice than either the 2305 OR the 2520... Here is my reasoning:

1 - The 2320 has a transmission oil cooler while the 2305 only has a fan.
2 - The 2320 has more ground clearance and the fuel filter is situated better than on the 2305.
3 - The 2320 allows both the MMM attaching parts AND the 46 BH subframe to stay on the tractor at all times - the 2520 does not.

Now if you were using the tractor for commercial work vs homeowner work, I would say that the 2520 would have to be the choice - due to it's superior hydarulic flow - even though you have to remove attaching parts to switch from BH to MMM, and vice versa. Anyway, just my opinion...

After I check out the 2320 and 2520 on Mon side by side and one after another I should be able to give some more input. Bleedgreen, thanks again for the info, and I am looking a little harder at the 2320 now because I won't have to take parts on and off and then make sure that the mower is installed and level again. Going to question the dealer more about this on Monday, they seem to think that there is the same issue with the BH on both the 2320 and 2520.

The 2305 is a heck of a little package, but I am wondering if the small amount of ground clearance is going to make a big difference. The oil cooler is a nice feature on the 2320/2520. The 2320 may be the right in between tractor for a some people. The 2520 seems to be by the specs a much much faster tractor in the hydraulic category, but when it comes to capacities the 2320 comes out a couple of pounds ahead in some categories, but not all categories.

I think that JD has a great lineup, maybe too good with too many selections. May induce Indecisive Tractor Buying Syndrome (ITBS) in some unfortunate souls.

The 2520 also seems to be geared a little more to the industrial user that won't be needing to mow as often or switch between BH and MMM. If JD could solve the MMM/BH mount interference issue I think this discussion would be all for naught, I would say the 2520 would be the winner hands down. Any idea if there is going to be a solution for this problem in the near future?

Maybe our 2210 was needing something, because it was kinda hard to start when it was cold......even cycling the plugs. It usually started, but it was battle and took multiple attempts.
The 2520 is just turn-key so far.

Speaking of power, I've never felt the 2320 lacked power. I've used mine on some pretty big jobs and while it is no match agaist the old full size case backhoe I use to own, it does do pretty well for a small light compact tractor. I know I wouldn't really benefit by stepping up to the 2520. I don't use my machine every day for 8 hours so the increased hydraulic speed would not make much difference for what I do (maintining and improving a small 6.5 acre horse farm). Now going to the 3000 series I might be able to handle round hay bales, but thats a larger framed tractor and it would have it's negatives as well.

My 2305 has started flawlessly all winter - even at -15F with no engine heater.

At the time of purchase I did not have a local dealer that I could even consider Kubota, but that has now changed (but still too late).

Thats too funny! thats exactly who it is who opened up - their prices are pretty good too. And yes the JD dealer is feeling pressure, speak with them fairly often. But they also didnt get my last purchase and that was before Farm Rite opening up, I went to Conn. to do my shopping..
