Very nice! The exact set-up I'm hoping to get. Did you give any consideration to getting turf tires since you'll be mowing with your unit?

It really does look good against that "white" background:)
Good luck with your new tractor.:)

Thanks! The turf tires aren't an option with the loader. The r4's have a higher load capacity so they are "required" when ordering as a package. From most of what I have read the r4's shouldn't be an issue with mowing and my property isn't golf course caliber so I should be OK. :D

BTW......I got the 2320 "stuck" for the first time today (that didn't take long). I insisted on clearing the drive again after a massive 2"-3" snowfall and as I was dumping a bucket full I drove the right front wheel into a drainage ditch causing a two wheel teeter-totter. Cool! The 4wd wasn't able to secure enough traction so I used the FEL to walk it out. Maybe I should load up my ballast box as well. Certainly not a big deal but it made me glad for all of the mishaps I had on a Bobcat years ago at my previous job that taught me some simple, yet valuable, lessons. I'm looking forward to Spring when I can get into some serious work and really test it's abilities.

The hydraulic speed seems sufficient. I know it is an issue when considering the 2320 vs. 2520+ but while the loader isn't what I would call fast it does not seem lazy which would be a problem.

Turf tires and loader weren't a problem with my 2520. (2007)
Something new ?

Personally I think the weight of the tractor is a much larger issue.

I haven't used my 3 point yet, though. My BH is on year round.

A 2320 probably would have served my purposes also.

I've moved and dug quite a bit of gravel and rocks, so the buckets don't look shiney new any more. :)

My dealer asked me which tire I wanted, nothing about a requirement.

Well then I stand corrected. When I initially placed my order for the 2305 my salesman said that with the loader I had to get the r4's due to the load rating of the turf tires vs. the r4's. That may have just been for the 2305 and I assumed it applied across the board or maybe it is simply my dealer's policy (which may be misinformed or based on solid info). I wasn't too interested in turf tires anyway so it really didn't matter to me. If my dealer gave me incorrect info that's fine as well.......it is up to me to find out all I can and my dealer was wonderful to deal with so if this was an error on their part then so be it. No harm done.

incubus2432,
Ok, I am here to say my dealer told me the same thing and like you I would rather have the R4's so I did not care. My dealer also said I would need to purchase a ballast box for the rear if I wanted the loader and no backhoe and this was not an option. Again, it made no difference to me as I was not buying without the backhoe anyway. I bought a ballast box anyway, and I am glad I did.

Hello incubus2432,
This is from the manual. I can see why alot of dealers recommend the R4's. There is a huge difference in capacity, especially the rear. I simply went with the R4's because they are 6 ply rating. Going in and out of the woods,I'd rather have the beefier sidewall. I had no idea there was that much of a load difference:)

Tire Loads

NOTE: Maximum load capacity for single tire.

Front (23x8.5-12 R4 6PR) 303 kg (667 lb)

Front (24x8.5-14 R3 4PR) 171 kg (558 lb)

Rear (14-17.5 R4 6PR) 991 kg (2185 lb)

Rear (36x14.00-15 R3 4PR) 535 kg (1179 lb)

I guess each dealers have there own policy, depending on there own experience in the pass. My dealer gave me the choice of tires, but when I bought the fel, the ballast box was included. I'm sure they had it included in the price of the fel, but I had no choices, it was standard with the fel.

Same with the ballast box......it was included in the FEL purchase unless I bought a backhoe. I'd love a backhoe.....just not willing to part with $7k (yet). I would have bought the ballast box anyway so that was no big deal either.

This was my first tractor purchase and although I did plenty of my own research I put some trust in my dealer/salesman as well due to my lack of practical experience. I was quite pleased with their patience for my stupid questions and order changing. I was never "sold" anything.....options were presented and pros/cons laid out. That's the way I prefer my customer/salesperson relationships to be. That's why I said that even if my dealer was wrong in the tire "requirement" I was OK with it. After seeing the load ratings it seems as though there is justification for their policy.
