2320 finally delivered

Same with the ballast box......it was included in the FEL purchase unless I bought a backhoe. I'd love a backhoe.....just not willing to part with $7k (yet). I would have bought the ballast box anyway so that was no big deal either.

This was my first tractor purchase and although I did plenty of my own research I put some trust in my dealer/salesman as well due to my lack of practical experience. I was quite pleased with their patience for my stupid questions and order changing. I was never "sold" anything.....options were presented and pros/cons laid out. That's the way I prefer my customer/salesperson relationships to be. That's why I said that even if my dealer was wrong in the tire "requirement" I was OK with it. After seeing the load ratings it seems as though there is justification for their policy.

Your dealer seems to be a good one, stay with them! And always remember, they need to make money to stay in business. I have been with the same dealer and same guy (owner) for 22 years.

I'm not mowing and sometimes I wish the dealer's salesaman had tried to talk me out of turf tires.
The farms around here are all going out of business and selling land to developers for housing, so they probably sell a lot more 'landscaping' equipment.
Tractor dealers are slowly going out of business here, too. Where I bought mine is gone.
I do ( and that was my plan) a lot of loader work and after a flat tire (nail - old farm) these front tires (turfs) are rather soft and flexible.
Probably nice for the lawn work, but I worry about slicing them in the woods.

An extra set of rims and tires is a bit pricey.

That's why I didn't go penny pinching when i was shopping for a dealer. Sure I want a good deal (and my deal was certainly fair) but as long as the price was OK I was more interested in how I was treated and the dealer's reputation. I am fortunate that they are relatively close and as a bonus that means that I'm keeping my $$$$ local as well.

Once I switched to the 2320 from the 2305 my sales guy said he thought the 2320 was a better fit for my needs but didn't want me to feel pressured or that he was trying to upsize me to get my money. He initially recommended the 2320 but I was set on the 2305 and had mentioned that I was stretching the budget as it was. With the way I normally shop I'm surprised that I didn't end up with a $60K monstrosity for my meager 5.25 acres......it's hard for me to be somewhat practical.

Well then I stand corrected. When I initially placed my order for the 2305 my salesman said that with the loader I had to get the r4's due to the load rating of the turf tires vs. the r4's. That may have just been for the 2305 and I assumed it applied across the board or maybe it is simply my dealer's policy (which may be misinformed or based on solid info). I wasn't too interested in turf tires anyway so it really didn't matter to me. If my dealer gave me incorrect info that's fine as well.......it is up to me to find out all I can and my dealer was wonderful to deal with so if this was an error on their part then so be it. No harm done.

Wait to you put a few dents in it.
2320 use it to haul wood on my farm year around.
