I'll cast a vote for a larger tractor too. The 2000 series won't do what you want it to do, at least not safely or for very long. I firmly believe that you will be very very unhappy with your choice in the long run and that you would just be throwing your money away. I think that your dealer is really not trying to just upsell you but actually sell you the right machine for the job.

Hey Foots,

What kind of round bale feeder do you have anyway? Do you have a link to one that I can see?

I've never seen one that was just 12-18" off the grounds. Sounds interesting. Most that I have seen are either right on the ground or it's a cone feeder that you need to lift the bale 5-6 feet to drop it in.

Another vote here for a larger machine, You definitely need at least a mid-chassis sized machine.
