Does anybody know if you can put a 59 inch blower on a 2520?

The only option shown in the book is the 47 and not the 59.

I'm running a 47" blower on my 2210, we had 21"of snow in one drop this past winter and it's a real work horse went threw 21" like it was 4".

I bought a used 59 inch blower for my 2520 today. Its off an older tractor ,but I'm just going to modify the hitch to make it work. For 500 bucks I could not turn it down it was mint. JD site says you cant get a 59 for the 2520 but the implement flyer says you can. I'm going to try it and see what I can do.

There is a big difference in the mounting/lift systems for the
older larger 47 and 59 snowblowers than the quickhitch
47 snowblower. The 47 and 59 with the gearcase were
used on tractors like the 755-955, and the 59 mounted on
the 4200-current mid frame tractors. They also used similar
units on commercial front mowers, but those units needed a
different gearcase due to reverse PTO direction of the front
mowers.

I would think the 2520 has what it needs to run the 59, it's just
going to be a bit of fitup to get it to work, and get all of the drivelines
figured out.

(I believe the front pto driveshaft for the 3120-3720 tractors is
the same as for the 2520)

You can look into the parts diagrams of the 59 on the larger frame
tractors and see the new 3pt hitch for the front of those tractors..
or look back at older versions, and they had the old style front hitch.

good luck

I too am going to modify a new bracket to fit an older 47 inch blower to my new 2520. Where do I find the PTO driveshaft.. and if you guys have yet done this. you got any pics???

I have some parts for the 59" blower.(1 year old) I converted my blower from a 4210 to a 3520 front hitch system.

I have the old front mount and hyd. lift cylinder left over.

I would think you could use the mid PTO shaft attachment for the 47 which brings it out to the front. I think it runs about $250.

I'm located a "used" but basically new 2 stage 47" that'll work on my 2520. I thought about fabricating some extensions/wings... but in reality will probably just use it as is. Once the 1st path is done I don't think the width of the 2520/47" blower will really be an issue. JD stuff holds value so once they release the larger blower I may sell the 47" and pick up the bigger one... IF I think it's worth the upgrade. I've never used a front blower but it sounds like the cat's meow...
