2520 w/front blower... ready for winter

I'll take driving forward without a cab over driving backward with a cab any day.
Do they have something like that for my 3x20? I'd probably need a mid PTO, eh?

Yep... you can get the big boy at 59". You will need the mid PTO. THAT would be a snow machine

Here on the shores of Lake Michigan we have had around 3 feet of sbow in the past week, including a 17" LOAD in one day. All came with high winds, causing drifting.
My 47" blower equipped 2520 was absolutely wonderful, much superior to my 2210. The ground clearance and larger tires (loaded!!) gave me much more traction and the increased HP kept the blower running - and throwing - smoothly. Using the blower to MOVE snow out and the back blade to scrape and push, I am able to move huge amounts of snow and clear my hilly 900 ft. drive in record time. This is a great package!!

I tossed some rather large stones thru the blower and fully expected to shear a pin / bolt. Nope. The thing just kept on blowing!

Are filled tires or chains necessary on a 2520?

Shawk I notice you are running R3/Turf tires. Do you slip around in the snow w/out chains?

Just curious, I'm planning to use the FEL on a 2520 w/ R4's on my pretty flat (but long) driveway this winter. Just wondering if I need to be considering chains or anything else to make this work.

I'm new to this size tractor, but thinking the 2520 w/ FEL and ballast (box blade) might be heavy enough as is.

Hey Mike... My FEL isn't used enough to load my tires otherwise I would have. However I do use rear ballast when the FEL is on (425lb box blade, hanging weights and sandbags when/if necessary (rarely for what I do).
Regarding traction... mine hasn't seen snow yet. But I'm anticipating my turfs will do very well on snow. My previous 2210 had R4's on it and while it did fine. I wasn't overly impressed with the R4's traction. But I won't go there... . Keep your tractor weighted down and your tractor will take you just about anywhere you need to go. Who knows... we may both be hunting down a good set of chains when winter sets in . See ya...
