RESPONDING TO: JSharp, part of where I will be pulling my tow behind bush hog can be swampy so
* I think I need to go with the biggest ones I can.
* Nope you want to go narrower than the 9.5 turfs that's on it now.
Turf tires are floating tires
and will spin on swampy surfaces..
Putting a wider lug tire on will increase the floation ability of the ag and cause it to spin easier just like the turf does.
Thr 8.5 has a better chance of cutting through the swampy surface than does the 10.5 RESPONSE: BETTER chance of getting stuck also. I suggest the larger tire but when putting it on air it up then pop the top bead loose and pour it eighty percent full of windshield washer premix. This will give u extra weight and give u the traction u need to get the job done. No pump needed this way Saves time trying to get that fluid thru a small valve stem hole. Best wishes jimdalton 50 yr around tires.
