The hood on these new units looks complicated enough in shape that I'm not sure if an auto body place could make a replacement or what it would cost.
I stopped at a Cub dealer for some parts the other day and asked about the new 2550 they had. Someone had broken the hood on the dealer's display unit which the dealer had replaced. The dealer was still waiting on replacement decals, but said they hadn't heard of any issues with the hood.
The frame and rear end are not much, either, compared to the International Cub Cadets made in the 60's-70's.
