Oil & Fuel 2615 transmission oil

I am getting ready to service my 2615 gear for the first time. The manual seems a little confusing on several points including which fluid to use in the transmission. The lubrication table shows that for transmission/front diff. to use Citgo-Transgard Tractor Hydraulic Fluids, Exxon-Torque Fluid 56, etc.. The manual does not specify if this for a HST or gear drive transmission. Does this mean that HST and gear tractors use the same fluid? For those with 15 series gear drive what are you using?

Use the same fluid in the gear and HST models.

I'm using Chevron for the transmission/front diff. and then Amsoil oil for the engine.

Is that in the yellow bucket? I was at the local NAPA store yesterday for something else and noticed it was $26 per 5 gal bucket.

No. I have it as "NAPA Premium Universal Tractor & Transmission Fluid". Part NHF 85405. 5 Gals @ $55.83. They have changed the website and the 'refinements' just made searching much harder. The attached picture is the oil used. It also comes in gallon jugs. I think I used close to 7 gallons between the hydraulic's and front diff with some left over. Can says "Meets JD J20C, Quatrol Case IH, Hytran Plus MF Permatran III Specs".

7520 Engine Oil Change. Has anybody figured out how to fill this model up with new oil without it taking hours. This is a terrible design. It only takes a thimble at a time without running over?

I do not have a problem. I use a funnel and pour away. You have to drain the old oil out first.:confused3:

My 5530 is the same way. It is like watching paint dry.
