The issue at hand here is not brand, but type of backhoe, 3-point verses subframe. The fact is, some Mahindra dealers are selling Bradco and other brands that are 3 point backhoes to mount on 3 point hitches of Mahindra tractors. If this voids the warranty, they should not sell them, or there is gonna be major trouble when something goes wrong. When you go back to your dealer to buy something you count on YOUR dealer's advice. You certainly don't expect a Mahindra dealer to sell something for your Mahindra tractor that voids your warranty. Is this "exclusion" specified in the warranty?? I can't find it yet.

I am not sure if it has to be spelled out in the warranty policy. It's pretty common knowledge that the warranty applies to OE... Original Equipment. Meaning it HAS to be labled as a Mahindra not "Bradco" or "Woods" or "Ameriquip." The name indicated it was designed and tested to the Mahindra standards for the application. No one else can claim that. They are obligated to honor their tractor warranty on their approved attachments. Like Arnie said, you chip yer pick up and it void the warranty... it's not OE. It really boils down to what the dealer can do. Does the aftermarket company offer a warranty on tractor breakage? Do these dealers offer to eat the cost of "warranty" stuff? Tough questions to answer. I stil wanna chip my stroker though.. it has no warranty... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

<font color="blue"> What I find interesting is that MahindraUSA in Tomball, TX claims that if you put a 3 point backhoe on their tractor, and the tractor breaks in half, they will not honor the warranty on the tractor.
Now let me get this straight in my mind: My Mahindra dealer sells Mahindra tractors. My Mahindra dealer sells 3 point backhoes to mount on my Mahindra tractor. But it is an item that will void your warranty. Hmm.. Something not right here. I asked Mahindra about all this regarding the void of warranty. They said it only applied to BACKHOES. I asked where this "exclusion" was stated in the warranty. They said "we'll get back with you." I asked, why are there Mahindra dealers selling 3 point backhoes to be mounted on Mahindra tractors? They said "We'll get back with you on that too". Well, it has been a few weeks now, and I haven't heard a word from them. If 3 point backhoes void your warranty, somebody at MahindraUSA should inform the dealers!
I am glad to hear WOODS is selling backhoes with Mahindra subframes. Maybe prices for these will be reasonable.

Ken it is stated on the back of the warranty: 3rd item down
"what is not covered by the warranty "
- " Utilization of non-Mahindra front-end loaders, mid-mount mowers and/or backhoes may result in damage to your Mahindra Tractor and void this Warranty. This Warranty does not cover damage, as dertermined in the sole judgment of Mahindra, caused by non-Mahindra front-end loaders, mid-mount mowers and/or backhoes."
- This is standard in most all makes out there, but people or dealers choose to use other makes than OE. Wether is is to save a buck on the consumer end or the dealer trying to be more competitive price wise or just a dishonest dealer looking to make a few extra bucks himself i cant answer that. But we explain this part of the warranty to every customer we sell a Mahindra to.
