I made these over 10 years ago out of rusty metal I had laying around at the time. The key ingredient was the 1/2" plate piece I found that had the perfect dimensions. The back stop is an old headboard from a bed which is slipped over old cut off axle shafts. Scored the forks for $20 each. It will handle anything the tractor can and then some. I since have added a modified back blade that clips on and will post pics of that when I have it on.

That is nice, I like the way you cut out the flat stock and welded at the toplink hook area. That should hold good. Ken Sweet

Here's mine. Copied it from another thread. I recently added a hydraulic toplink which when on the 3pt makes it very useful. easy to tip it back as you raise the 3pt.
I was looking for cheap forks or was going to make my own. I haven't seen this one yet but thought it was a great use of an old pallet pump truck.I got the truck for nothing, so nothing to loose

Primed and ready to paint. To recap. After gutting it, I had to design an suitable (strong) way of adapting it to my loader brackets. As I have adapted other things this part wasn't too hard. I was able to use the top of the frame and cut out a notch that fits over the bar of my FEL bracket. I reinforced it to take the weight and used the 4"x2" channel at the bottom to attach to the bottom loader brackets. All quick attach as my bucket is. As I discovered, I need to widen this part so it distributes the weight better and does not bend the loader bar (see final pics)
As I was making this, I thought it would be a great to be able to have a 3pt hook up as well. This actually worked out quite well. With being to lift more on the 3pt, it would come in handy for the heavy jobs
FEL Mode
Worked better than expected with the 3pt part just clearing the loader frame. As can be seen, I need to reinforce where the top part of forks frame hooks so the bar won't bend
3pt Mode
Needs a little work as you can see, I forgot the lower arm pins at home, so I just put some bolts in to test it, but seems to work.
This was a great mod and so far works great. Moved some logs around and was very happy. Its always great to make something useful out of nothing.

I have often thought of doing this but always wondered about the strength because the pallet jack is always in contact with the floor. Looks like you have adequately taken care of that concern and have a very utilitarian set of forks. Nice Job!

I was looking at one of these today at work and wondering about this very thing. Great idea making it work on both ends too.

hers mine i use a complete mast off of a fork lift so i can lift the hole thing with 3 point or lift just the mast forks 3 stage
mostly used to load logs on sawmill
I bought one similar to yours a few years back at a sale. The cylinder was powered by the remote hydraulics on the tractor for up and down lift. I sold it and the buyer said he was going to use a hyd toplink for tilt control. Nice setup. Ken Sweet
