3-Point Hitch 3 point hitch won't go down

Disregard, I am an idiot, I knew about the knob, but since i set the knob a year ago when I bought the tractor, I have not messed with it. It turned out I must have hit the knob. When I woke up this morning the first thing i checked was the knob and it was all the way to the "turtle." Works fine as always!! However, I am bringing the tractor back to the dealer in the morning because I have had a small leak on the hydraulic hose that ties into the steering cylinder. It has leaked since i bought it new, but it has only been enough to keep it wet and not leak too much. I fugure I might as well have the dealer repair it while its under warranty. Thanks for the feedback though!!

The best repairs are ones that are not repairs. Good news.

Hydraulic cylinder, inside the housing on top of the rear axle.

Check and see if you inadvertently hit the 3PH speed control valve and spun it shut. I have done this on 2 different tractors it is usually a knob below the seat in front.

TBN saves the day again! I never touch it but guess it got turned somehow.

You bump it with your foot getting on and off the tractor.. I have done it several times

Another save for me--just had the same "issue"

It is a good feeling when it turns out to be a no cost "fix" isn't it:)

Glad to find this thread. The knob had me frozen in the up position. I hadn't moved it so I didn't think about it being the issue, and I had forgotten it was there - and it was dark and raining. But thanks to those who mentioned that it can inadvertently be changed by a foot - or in my case maybe a 6-year old grandson. Half a twist and the box-blade began to slowly settle.

We see dozens of these types of posts each year here on TBN. It is just part of tractor ownership.

I have a Shibaura with all japanese control markings. This thread has been another in a long line of revelations.
