With some slip on fork extenders you could lay the 6' high panels on flat (laying down). Note also you're going to be balancing 8' wide panels on two forks 22" apart. (ehh, 37" hanging off either side ain't so bad)

I got a set of rear forks last year and they quickly became almost permanently mounted to the tractor I use them so much. A used wood shipping container with one side removed makes a great carry all, but you can put a lot of things on the forks themselves. So versatile - I should have gotten a set years ago.
