3 point sprayer rig questions

This was the most frustrating purchase I've made for the tractor. TSC doesn't know what the customer is going to do for pumping. So basically your on your own buying the pump and everything to connect it up. So I told them to put it all back on the shelf and headed for the door. I couldn't believe that they did have kits set up and already priced to connect up the two tubes, plug it into the PTO and start spraying.

Lucky for them a farmer over heard the whole thing and was nice enough to point out everything I needed. I don't think any employee was over 16 in the whole store.

I liked your idea of the two tanks. But I also use the neutralizer spoken about in the other post. It's expensive! But that farmer told me if I want to keep up the rubber forever to always rinse the tank out with the stuff. Farmers at work say to just make sure it's rinsed out with water. I usually need to spray about 4 times a year. Broad Leaf-Malathion-Broad Leaf-Malathion.

I have to check on the size again. I don't think I have it listed correctly. Check later when I get home from work.

Just a quick comment to anyone interested in mounting a small spot sprayer off the back of your tractor. I mounted my Fimco spot sprayer using a custom welded frame cantilevered off of the top link pin connections on the tractor. This allows me to use both the spot sprayer and dump bucket (another story) at the same time. It uses a 12 vdc connection. I use it primarily for spraying fruit and trees with liquid sevin. This first pic is how the setup looks.

Close-up of the pin end. This set up lets me keep the bottom pin in place on the tractor, rest the tank and frame (empty) on that pin, and insert the top pin that holds it all in place. The dump bucket I built only used the two lift arms, so both can be used at the same time. It works great for me.

boomerboy. . . that is a great looking spray rig!

I don't quite understand how you have the sprayer attached, in addition to the top link pin, where else is it attached? How do you power the pump?

I think I just saw this item at agri supply for about 495.00 not including pump.

Bob,
Here's a couple goodies I dug outta the filing cabinet. I scanned the 3pt. so you can see what makes up the booms if you go in that direction. Download and magnify if you need to get a closer look. I messed up on the price. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The sprayer was 380$ And the Hypro 6 roller pto pump was 70$....Oops /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

More pictures of the ShurFlo sprayer before I purchased Blue. By the way. The 3pt. (60gal) does 5 acres with one tank full.
