Just bought a ym3810d in good condition except for the 3 point doesn't seem to do anything, the guy I bought it from said he only used the tractor for the loader and has never tried to use the 3 point and didn't know it didn't work, I took a chance and bought it anyway hoping it was something I could fix if need be. I already tried the knob below the seat, screwed it all the way in and back out and no change, hydraulic fluid level is full and the loader operates perfectly, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on how to diagnose the situation

Just because the adjustment knob rotates under the seat, means little. You need to examine it closely and make sure the shaft is rotating and there is a needle valve at the end of the shaft and often times with non use, that needle valve will clog up.

I am no expert on Yanmars but Needle valve typically just prevents the 3 point from lowering but usually has no effect on raise. I think some models of Yanmers had a diverter valve below the seat but again bot sure. Hopefully a yanny expert will respond and say I am nuts or am close.

Control valve setup for the 3810. Same Hyd. Valve HV-451. Push the pin in on the valve and the arms lift. Let it out lowers the arms. Pretty Simple so I would check for a plugged up Hydraulic Filter/ Filter Screen Etc. and check to see that it is getting Hyd. fluid to it.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll start checking things tomorrow morning when I get back to my shop. something I forgot to mention, it doesn't have any of the 3 point arms on it so wonder if because there's no weight on it to pull it downward? I ordered a new hitch kit but until that gets here I'll hang a concrete block on it to see if it'll pull it down. This thing has knobs and levers all over the place and none of them are marked so I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing wrong

Your control setting for the lift and lower is the pin on the side of the Hydraulic valve. The pin is usually in the middle upwards position. You can see it if you look hard. I do have a 240 manual that covers it. The files to big so PM. me if you don't have a Manual and give me a E-mail. I'll send it that way!

The big issue still is do you have Hyd. Pressure?

The loader works great so I would assume I have hydraulic pressure

My guess. Put the arms on it an Push them down!

Pretty sure I figured out the problem, 3 point cylinder is rusty and the piston was stuck at the front of the cylinder

Looks like the problem. My Org.2000 The Hyd. fluid was super nasty when I first changed it! 1" that was as thick as Crisco in the can on the bottom of the pan. Water Moisture and whale oil............
