Yet another update and more days gone by and no tractor
Today is friday 6/13/03, called the dealer at noon.
The tractor isn't ready, nor has it been worked on.
Got some excuse that the technician had to leave yesterday as everything is now a day behind and it would be ready come monday.
This is now pretty unacceptable, I reminded them thats its been two weeks to the day since I've called and was told to drop it off, and just this past wednesday the part arrived in the door, and would be installed Wed to thursday morning and would be ready thursday evening.
We'll no one called from the dealer to tell me anything, so I'm having to pull teeth once again. This time I called the Service Manager Fred's Boss, I'm assuming Gary Poff (the dealership owner or manager) he didn't have all the details and such he stated, I explained briefly what I've been thru, but his response was 'Well...' I told Gary, it *will* be done by this afternoon by 5pm or I'll come pick it up and bring it to another dealership 30 miles away. I said I've been very paitient with you folks, I realize its a busy time of year, and this is just warranty work, but 2 weeks, and all these excuses and noone has done a thing, no calls no nothing, this is pretty unacceptable. He said, "we'll, ok, were really not that busy now" I'm thinking ooook, not busy, and all you can say is we'll... Now what kind of response is that from a manager of a JD business????
I showed up at noon on my lunch as I've had enough of there excuses, spoke with the Service manager, I just said I'm here to get my tractor, he said whats up, I said I'm here to get my tractor to bring it to Webers. He said, we'll were bringing it around now and will have it on the lift and the job done by 4:30, I reinstated 4:30 huh? I told him it was supposed to be done yesterday correct, he said yes...
I said a simple phone call telling me it wasn't done yesterday was all that was needed. I just left, and said I'll be back at 4:30.
So I don't know if the bossman had some words, but we'll find out at 4:30 if its done or not. I'm hoping they won't do a crummy job.
I felt I've been very reasonable over all considerate, but this is just to much, you just don't leave a man without his tractor in the middle of summer and treat both of them like there nobody. I don't consider that a 'service after the sale' especially when its under warranty and it was such a small thing, not like the tranny went out.
Its too bad they've lost my $ and my friends and family. Cause I'll never go near that place again (dealership name listed above), along with my story, my friends and family know what I've been thru.
I imagine there are more bad stories out there, and mine may seem pidly. As my grandfather would say, don't fret, tomorrow is a better day, and things will work out. You may feel helpless today, but tomorrow you'll live and learn from your experiences and be much wiser. Relax and lets go fishing. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
