I have a 3pt hitch sprayer I want to run from the back of my Kawasaki Mule. It runs off the pto which the Mule doesn't have. Is there an easy way to rig a gas motor to run the pump? I've seen gas motors with reduction gears built in, would that work? Thanks!

A gas motor would work, but you will have to gear it down from 3600rpm to 540rpm. A better choice would be a electric pump from TSC or Agri-supply.

I've got one of the electric sprayers and it doesn't put out enough "stuff".

What size pump is it and how may nozzles are you running? Maybe the pump is just undersized?

The electric sprayer is a 3.8 gal. The pto sprayer has a boomless nozzle.

Generally, the pumps on those electric sprayers are sized to match the tanks they're on. We opted for the 25-gallon 10-foot boom ATV sprayer from TSC (mounted on a KK carry-all), because it had about the biggest pump available. Had no problem running the 10-foot boom. Fiddling around (water only, of course!) with the handgun, it lived up to its claim of being able to shoot over 40 feet. I would imagine the pump on a 3.8 gallon tank is gonna be quite small (shoot, that tank is smaller than our backpack sprayer).

I wasn't clear, the PUMP pumps 3.8 gal per minute. The SPRAYER holds 35 gallons.
