Kubota/B3200
Good afternoon. I recently purchased a B3200 with FEL and BH 77 for maintenance of my 9 acre wooded overgrown home lot. Because of the expected 20' snowfall, I purchased a kubota front mount blower, as well as a box blade and Bushhog. I have now experienced the FEL removal and exchange for the blower, and have now removed the BH for road leveling and bush hogging.

The 3 pt hitch setup however puzzles me, and I need some help/ advice. The manual
Neither covers not pictures the parts or setup well. The crossbar that the lower links attach to just barely has enough clearance to accept the lower links and ball joints. There isn't however sufficient room to install the bushings/ spacers on the crossbar inboard of the cross links. I assume these spacers must go there but I have no picture or illustration showing them!!!! I assume the central bolt and locking nut on the crossbar is to allow the crossbar to be slid left or right to afford sufficient room to install one side at a time. However. After loosening, the bar still doesn't move!!! Do I need to remove the bolt and locking nut completely?

Or am I totally off base! The bushings/ spacers aren't pictured in the manual or described at all!

I believe the clearence issue is probably because of the BH 77 sub mount.

Any advice out there? Shawn

As I recall, the spacers go on the inside, between the lift arm and the tractor. To install them, try sliding the shaft over to one side, install that sides components, then slide to the other side and repeat.

Are you hitting the far side against the BH subframe? If not you can get it over further by removing the retaining nut/screw in the center. For mine I use a railroad spike in the pin hole to move it back and forth, it'll slide easily if you can get some grease in there (new they're very stiff). Once you do get it over all the way you should barely be able to get the spacer on and have enough space to get both the spacer and the lower arm on there with the pin.

Thanks for the advice, sure enough, once the bolt was completely removed, and with the assistance of a pry bar, I did just as you said and eureka!! Done !! Thanks for the advice, Kubota should include your advice in the manual!!!

Glad it helped. I had the same exact problem on mine and got help from folks on here. I put liberal doses of WD-40 on mine and after doing it a few times it freed up and then I put grease on it. Now it moves with little to no effort and it takes maybe 5 minutes to go from the BH to a 3pt implement now.

That would be great, it took me a little while to be able to finesse off the backhoe for the first time ! Spent a couple of hours with the ground hog for the first time use today after getting the 3 pt hitch setup installed. Attaching the groundhog made me think a quick hitch might be a better way!!!!

One thing you can try that makes life MUCH easier is a dolly for your attachments and BH. Then all you do is park the tractor, pop the BH on the dolly, wheel it away and then wheel in the attachment and connect it and you're done. Here's the link to my BH dolly build thread. I imagine you could use the same design, just upsize it for your BH.
