What are some good brands of chippers I can carry around on the three point hitch on my BX-22, The kubota place told me I could get one around 3300.00 but Im wondering
how much of that is middle man markup. The one he described would grind up to 4''
Thanks alot

You might try a search on this board for chippers. I believe there was recently a long thread on chinese chippers.

The 4" chinese chipper is ~650 lbs. The 6" chipper is ~850 lbs. I think both may be too big for a BX22. However, if you buy one in a crate and assemble it yourself, it will be well under $2000.

Look at the Woods 5000. It will both chip and shred. It is designed for 20hp but when I first got mine for $2300, I hooked it up to my B6100E (14hp). It worked fine but I had the feed it slowly to avoid bogging it down. It is rated at 5-1/2 inch for chipping. and was not too heavy for the 3pt.

Have you seen the Salsco 600 PTO. It is 3.5 inch capacity. It works great and sells for under $2000. Much more substanatial then it's competitors. I think you can see it at Salsco website
