3 PT Quick Connect on a 8N

Well, I installed them on the old 8N this afternoon. Instalation was not as straight forward as it looked because the stabilizer bars kind of got in the way, but I put them on the best I could figure.

The bushings that came with them were about 1/8" to long to let the linch pins go in, but a little grinding and they worked.

I've gotta say, I was happy, happy, happy while playing around swapping implements around today playing.

We'll see how they hold up.

Sorry it took so long to post some pics.

I've been happy with these so far. They were simple to install, but some of the bolts really don't do much of anything in this application. Also the very bottom bolt was to short to be able to use the jamb nut. Here's a few pics. If anyone see's something that I didn't install correctly or something that I can improve on (other than that lower bolt) please let me know.

These two bolt hit each other....

It seems like someone would just make replacement arms with better hookups, at least for the popular models

Might be a good niche to fill in the marketplace for someone with the ability and machinery.

I'd probably buy a set.

In your case, I'd suggest the Pat's Easy Change.
The biggest hassle in hooking up implements is the lower links...after that, it's pretty easy. The Pat's system, which I had on a Deere 790 for 5 or 6 years, is the most versatile. I doubt you'd find any implement the would require modification, but you will have to get off the seat to hook up the top link.

Like quick hitches, the Pat's system extends the implement back about 4". You may need a PTO extender (Agri-Supply calls them PTO adapters and they cost $20) for PTO driven implements.

They look great! I think that you are going to really enjoy using them, and the time it saves. It's nice that they include the wire loop to hold the hitch open when you are hooking your equipment up. I have not had mine budge at all, and I have had some very heavy, and jarring loads. hope that you enjoy them!
