3 pt Receiver Hitch attachment

A bit off course but my draw bar 'pin' would have the brush pull the clip off and then id loose the pin. So I will use a bolt and nit on it and no troubles since..
So a bolt and nut is a possibility to use instead of the lynch pin
But WOW a great well thought out job on this hitch.

I like the pins facing inward. On my brush hog I changed them to face that was as brush would unsnap the lynch pins and let the drawbar loose. With them inward and the sway links tightened even without lynch pins it won't get free.

I call them clip pins but know they go by other names but they look like large hair pins, push them ALL the way on and very seldom will you loose one. May need something to tap them out to remove them.

Wow, that's almost too nice to use!
After seeing you start this project, I bought a draw bar, welded a old receiver hitch to the bottom of it and channel iron up to the top link. Total cast-20 dollars. It ain't near as purddy, but it worked flawlessly yarding my 16' trailer loaded through the woods loaded up with wood. Maybe I'll paint it someday...

Anyway, thank you for the idea!

Ok I finally was motivated to get mine going. As I do a bit of logging, trailer pulling and just needed an all around thingamajig instead of the drawbar this is what I came up with.
I built it so it would withstand cat II, but will fit cat I. I put it on a smaller JD and it worked great as far as fit and when it was raised it didn't tip at all, stayed verticle from the bottom up.
It isn't finished just yet as I am adding a removeable boom for tong use.

Looks nice, what's that thingamajig in the background? you have a boom mounted to you splitter?

Yes, that splitter will take on anything up to 7ft in dia. the boom is 10ft. The knife is a T knife so you just take two pieces off the bottom of the block as you work it down.
The other day I had a couple of fellows feeding and tossing wood. Went through about 2 cord an hour.

Was able to get back on the project today. got the boom fabbed up. just need to hang a hook or shackel on it and maybe some lattice over the top to strengthen it.
I am still thinking of sticking a hyd winch in it as I have one lying in the shop. Will see how much clearance I will have after hooking it up. Plan on that tomorrow. If I get with it should be ready for paint.

Finished the hitch att finally. Just need to put some line on. I will hang a small pulley on just behind tongs when I use the winch. It will act as a fairlead.

Nice looking rig! I really like the hydraulic winch set up. Should be fairly stout working so close to the tractor.
