3 pt sprayer for JD2305 ?

Found a used sprayer, 50 gallon, 3pt, PTO driven. It has a hose that goes from the sprayer to the PTO and hooks up. My question is how does this work? This hose hooks to the PTO and generates pressure back to tank? Sorry but I have never used one! Help? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have an upright 55 gallon sprayer. From your description (does this look like your unit? Sprayer) you may be missing the roller pump which has an inlet side and outflow side as shown in this link Roller pump . The pumps will go bad if not flushed and lubricated well after use. I have had great luck with my unit which is used to spray the lawn as well as a switchable tree sprayer. Good luck, let me know if you have other questions.

you need an inlet side hose from your tank and an outlet hose which would run to the spray boom or wand. Not sure what you have, maybe the pump is built into the tank??

One other concern I have. While I would love to have some sort of 3 pt sprayer like this on my 2210 for my yard ($$$) I myself would stick to less than 30 gallons for tank size because of the small stature of our machines. 50 gallons of liquid is going to weigh close to 500lbs plus the weight of the machine itself. My concern would be on uneven or hilly ground where as the tank begin to empty towards half you would have some 300 plus pound of liquid would begin sloshing around could flip you over? Wheel weights might be a nice precaution. Just a thought.

I just bought a 150 GAL 3pnt sprayer for my 4720. I have not tried it out yet, but it looks slick. 20' boom and a spray gun with a 25' hose. I will post pics when I have it all setup.
