I had a small stone block the linkage one time. You might check that.

Don't be insulted but this happened to me once and it turned out the pin I was using to attach the top link to the tractor was long enough to extend past the three point lifting arms. When the arm came down it rested on the pin and couldn't go any farther. If that isn't it as mentioned check the rate control knob or other obstructions - probably something simple if it goes up but not down (my fingers are crossed for you!!) /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Try adding some weight. The lift arms can pick up but not push down. If you don't have any weight to push them down you only have theweight of the arms.
My tractor was real stiff when new. I had to stand on the arms. Now it has some time on it and gravity does the job.

Did that myself once. Dropped it off at my son's house for him to use and he was only going to use the FEL. Didn't want the three point to drop while he was working or have my grandson drop it on his foot, so I locked it up with the controller under the seat. He tried to drop it for the evening and it wouldn't go down. Big panic, he thought he'd broken my new tractor. Played with if for a while and remembered the knob. Made him sweat for a while.

I panicked myself the first time. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif The first day I had the tractor, I couldn't lower the 3pt. I didn't know what was wrong, but I knew I better have it fixed before the wife got home. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif I wasn't sure what the rabbit/turtle knob did, (yeah I know it has a real name) but I tried it anyway. Success, no problems to report to the CFO on the new acquisition. /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif I'm not sure why the dealer had it cranked down so far.
