About every second November I get a truck load of sand dropped off in the clearing halfway in my gravel driveway. Its the highest point and I can grab some in the bucket when things get too icy for 2wd vehicles. During the summer there often seems to be a need for a pail or so somewhere.
I live on a hill. Got out of the truck to feed the dog closed the door and it slid backwards 10 ft. Got back in and slowly backed down the 150 ft to the road. Flat for 20 ft near the mail box but I am sure it would have crossed the road and hit cars or guard rail. 200 lbs of salt for future use and no parking on hillside.
