3000-20 fuel fill doors

I had the spring assembly break on the fuel fill door and had the dealer replace it. I figured that I may have gotten rough with it while fueling with a can and funnel. Opened the door the other day and the darn thing broke again. Looks like the cowling side of things. Am I the only one having this problem, or is the cowling plastic a POS?

There is no fuel fill door on my 3720 (cab ) which was built in March 2007. Mine just has a large spin-cap on the fender. I'm wondering if this is a design change or just different on the 3000 series cab tractors.

Hey now there's a good excuse to get a cab model! I'm just worried I'd lose too much function. I don't think she'd let me have one of each...
