3054XS TLB HYDRAULICS

What model loader do you have? It sounds more like a relief value issue. Do you hear it clatter by the hyd block at startup.

I have the KL12430 Loader. I can't hear any clatter from the hyd block over the engine noise. Seams to be quiet.

They hyd hose kit doesn't apply to your tractor. only the KL1231 and the TLB package. I would say you would need to check pressures on your loader valve. It sounds like a relief valve issue to me.

Ok, I'll give the dealer a call. Thanks Jon!

I wrote to Kioti to explain the problem since it seems they parcel out information and I am just beyond my warranty with a broke hydraulic system. I do not use it very often so I believe it wasn't right when it came back after replacing the pump. I hope they say that there is a problem and guide the repair once and for all (and don't charge me) I only have 40 hours on it in a year.

You guys are letting these things warm up after start up, right? I believe the manual says to let them warm up for a few minutes and even longer during cold weather. This goes for any piece of equipment with hydraulics. I believe that HST's are directly related to hydraulic flow.

Ok, I think it finally sunk-in. I am very impatient! ;)

Wow! How did we get off on HSTs?

BillA, seems like you and I have similar 3054XS TLB problems which is where this thread started:confused:.

You may be OK on warranty coverage if your dealer handles it like mine did, a problem found originally under warranty but still not completely resolved. Mine is covered though out of warranty.

I also don't have many hours, (@60), on mine partly because of this continuing problem, mainly do to other commitments. It also took me a while, being a newbie, to figure out if I was expecting too much when it was acting weakly or if I had an actual issue.

When the dealer put the first replacement pump on, I operated it for maybe 20 or 25 hours and started having same symptoms, FEL and BH so weak they couldn't pick a bucket of dry dirt up and empty bucket operations slower than when new. This first replacement pump was same as original pump. The second replacement pump made a big change in power of FEL and BH. It is supposed to be a second generation pump according to dealer. It seems that when Kioti went to the new TLB package on the 3054 they went with a larger capacity hyd. pump too handle the demand. Possibly we're just seeing Kioti resolving this issue for a new model.

You may want to query your dealer about which pump is on your unit now in addition to the hyd. hose kit fix. Also check with them on the valve unit for the BH controls. As I mentioned in other post, Kioti is replacing this too. Dealer had another new 3054XS TLB on his lot which has had the valve unit replaced by his mechanic and hose kit installed.

Glad to know Kioti's trying to get this ironed out. Mine's been at the dealer's now for three weeks this time as they try to get all the parts that are needed. Sounded like the last part required, the BH panel, is going to be in this week.

Words of encouragement and suggestions related to my 3054 really appreciated

Kiev, I wrote to Kioti last week by email and have not heard back. The TLB is still on the trailer waiting. I did not buy it from the local dealer so he has no interest other than collecting warranty work. I'm pretty sure he will just give me a huge bill for replacing parts if I take it out. I need Kioti to give some direction and support or I have a pile of junk. I also bought this without experience or knowledge of what to expect so I just thought it was always weak. Hope they answer.

BillA, Sorry about your dealer's attitude. I think if you start your own thread, you might be able to get some input from some of the dealers on the forum or someone in your area about a more cooperative dealer. With as few hours as you've got, Kioti should resolve this design issue.
The dealer's still waiting for my BH panel. It's supposedly been shipped from factory but hasn't made to him yet.
Hang in there. From what I saw when I operated mine with the latest pump, there's plenty of power!

Kiev, how did yours work out? I finally got a reply from Kioti to take it to a dealer and they will determine what to do. It is still there. I told them I felt it was a manufacturer's problem but if they won't cover it, go ahead and I will have to pay. It just needs to work right and then I'll sell it. I don't think I want to be involved in round three with an expired warranty. I'm disappointed in Kioti.
