Everyone likes a mystery.
The subject line and attachment are clues.
Can you figure it out? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Wow, you're getting out, and I'm thinking of getting back in! I volunteered locally for four years, have FF1 and current EMT-B and AHA-CPR. Locally though, they are only hiring Paramedics... Looked at Paramedic school; soonest start locally is that I could get in is this coming August. And, it is a year long program. I would be like 43, almost 44 before I finished. Most guys are early retiring at that age, not restarting...

txdon; Congratulations!!!!

RobertN; I don't know about your state but in Iowa the paper work has taken away most of the fun in EMS. I also am FF 1 & EMT-I. Have been volunteering for aprox 18 years. Sooo many changes.

Thanks Regal!

RobertN - A paramedics at 43 - Wow. By that age most Firefighters are migrating to suppression. Houston Firefighter/paramedics 24 hour shift, with up to 15 calls per day, is very strenuous and stressfully.

Now I'll be getting ready to make the move to Lee County.
As Harvey says: "Life is good".

Congratulations Don on your retirement. Or should I say semi-retirement. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm sure Karen will keep you busy on her honey-do-list. But if your like me (I'm sure you are), your own want-to-do list is much bigger than the honey-do list. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Sure is nice to see there are still retirement parties out there.
