If possible, test drive (use them) both and see which one feels better to you. As a former Kubota owner, I was leaning towards a new Grand Series machine. I friend of mine who has several JD's in his company, insisted that I look at the JD's. I did, I bought, I like! Like any tool or machine, untill you get it in your hands and use it, you'll never really appreciate the small subtle differences that make one machine better or worse FOR YOU than another.
