I do think the 3120 is a great tractor, and the truth is, it will do almost all of what the 3720 can do. But unless I couldn't feed my kids and pay my bills, (which I wouldn't have a tractor if I couldn't) I would opt for at least a 3320. I just wouldn't want to ever wish I could have had more because I tried to save $600.00 realworld price, up front. Because when I need that extra HP I want it to be there. Same thing goes for opting for a 300x loader when for a few hundred more you could have had a 300cx Loader. For what? to save a few hundred. Not worth it to me. I really think JD should simplify their lineup, drop the 3120, and go with the 3320 Natural Aspirated, and have the 3720 Turbo as the two choices, then work out a better price for the two.
Sell the 3320 for a compromised price for the 3120.
Sell the 3720 for a compromised price for the 3520.
I would think reducing models would save JD lots of money and headache.
Same thing goes for the 300x Loader. Just drop it, and sell the 300cx, and then maybe offer a 300cxsl (Self Leveling) Loader.
Now that I think of it, same thing goes for the light duty buckets. They should all be heavy duty buckets.... Maybe not your large volume buckets, but all your general purpose buckets should be heavy duty.
