Anyone have one or try one!Any problems with the turbo.Does the turbo kick in only at really high rpms.I seen a couple with soot around where the exhaust comes out of the hood would there be a concern for this?Im am just trying to get a feel for this tractor for its one of many im looking at.Also looking at a 2816 ,i do like the q&a forks for the 3316.Would get the backhoe for it too. alot of digging and bringing up logs and snow removal!any advice on mahindras welcome thanks steve

The 3316 is the same as the 3215 and that is what I have. The tractor is a real work horse. Small enough to get into smaller places and yet big enough to get some work done without it taking all day long. Of course it always depends on what your doing though.;) As far as the turbo, I don't think that it has to be high rpms, more like it works when the tractor needs a little more umph. My tractor also has some soot on the body panel around the exhaust, no big deal. I don't have a backhoe for mine, so I can't really be any help there.:( Oh, I would get the 3316 before I got the 2816, always nice to have that little bit more hp when you need it.

What other tractors are you considering? Lots of good machines out there.:D

I have a '06 3215 HST. Been very happy with it. I think I hear my turbo kick in about 2200 rpm. It's a real small turbo unit. Have had turbos on my diesel trucks for several years now with no problems so was not too concerned with it on the tractor. It's nice to know it's there to get a little more hp out of the engine when your pushing it. I'm also in the mountains and I understand the turbo maintains your hp at higher altitiudes. Overall, the size is compact and easy to manuever, with the tires loaded has good weight and feels very stable, seems pretty straight forward to maintain, is good on the gas and has handled all jobs I've thrown at it very well. Highly recommend.:D

Thanks for the replys, yesterday me and a friend who has a 3510 went over to compare the 3316 and 2816,the rear drive on the 3316 looked like finals on the front wheels and seemed to be closer and higher than the 2816.It didnt look as strong,is this setup cheaper or better? What im trying to say is the rear end doesnt look as bullet proof as the 2816.

I keep a 3316 HST TLB on my lot and many times I have customers look at it, that you can tell they are used to operating a backhoe. One thing they always try is they leave the tractor at an idle, and put the backhoe bucket down and lift the rear wheels up and inch or two. Then they swing the backhoe and move the rear of the tractor from side to side. They tell me that a lot of the compact TLB's won't do that at an idle, but the Mahindra's never fail to. Just thought I would fill you in on that.
