Opinions - Replace B21 TLB with this B26 TLB?

Good catch rScotty, it does not have QA backhoe bucket. The B26 uses flares on their ssqa and QA backhoe buckets that make connecting even easier. Only model I’ve seen that on. Added that feature on several ssqa attachments.View attachment 929974

So the bh qa is a new bucket too it would appear - will need to see the $ tag on that -probably better part of $1k

They’re great machines. Little more plastic than your B21 but better loader and backhoe performance and operator ergonomics. Bought mine used at local rental auction with 50hours. Wife thinks it’s hers, that’s okay if I get to play with it sometimes.

Smokey it comes down to 1) I know what I have / what it needs (a few seals on cylinders probably $500. 2) I can add the QA setup for $12-1300. What I cannot get is 4-5 more HP and 300lbs of lift capacity from my B21.

Also eventually add the third function valve, a plow, and a grapple eventually to either machine,

It's the unknown of the auction machine, so planning to head there to check it out on Wednesday AM to see and run it, unless the minimum goes above my maximum.

Not sure how all the specs compare to the backhoe attachment. Big upgrade from the B20.

The B26 did feel a little more tippy. Both had rear tire ballast. Added 2.5” rear wheel spacers helped considerably as we have 500’ elevation change.

Update - raised my bid and was outbid in an hour - so will raise the bid again and if it goes above my max intent will likely keep my B21. Also, I heard back from a dealer that the B26 is under warranty until the end of October 2024 so that is peace of mind in case of any issues.

Anyone have a figure for what a new B26 costs these days?

New ones range from $44-52K depending on the options from what I have seen - I haven't visited the "build my Kubota" site recently.

At the same time looking at the ATI Tach-All QA set up for my B21 - TL421 loader and the weld-on plate for the bucket is $1400 including shipping.

Does anyone have experience with the ATI Tach All QA setup? Seems robust from the reviews I have read, but does not have the lower connecting rod between the plates so is there a possibility of torquing the connecting frame?

OP: sounds as if you've caught the buying fever. my suggestion is to step back & wait to really look at your future needs (unseen as well).

I don't have the knowledge of the models you have or are looking at. but anytime one takes a hit for a new upgrade, i would rather have a larger replacement than what you're considering to justify the new sticker price. best regards,

Wow$. 2016 B26 TLB base was about $30K. With backhoe thumb, QA bh buckets(3), rear remote, few extras was -$36.

Bought ATI Kubota KX040 excavator to SSQA adapter. Can use skidsteer attachments on backhoe. Well made and highly recommend as a top manufacturer.

Being able to finish mow or rototill without a bucket is nice. 54” wicked grapple perfect. 345#

Well suffice it to say someone else wants this unit more than I do - I bid to $28K - my top end and it looks like it will fetch $32-34K or more. This is before the auction starts and the bidders are on site etc.

So, some mods are in my future with the B21 - the QA is first.

Looking at the ATI Tach All and HD plate for the existing bucket is $1400 delivered.
