ok the plumbing is very simple. looking at the back of the tractor the right side of the valves is the input. i made two hoses from them to the original output on rear of the tractor.

When there is no power applied to any valve, the oil passes through as if there is no valve there. so in my setup oil is going to the red/blue hoses on the left. that runs my toplink.

When i apply 12v to the valve with yellow qd, it diverts oil to the outputs on that valve. that runs my spout rotator.

same applies to the green one which runs my deflector.

i will try to track down the part # of that switch for you.

Is the oil supply coming from the 3rd SCV?

Could you explain how they work?
It looks like to me with both diverters OFF, far right set of couplers would work.?
Turn right diverter ON and middle set of couplers would work.?
Turn both ON and left set of couplers would worK.?
I probably got it wrong, so please explain how they operate.
Are then hoses to the right supply to diveters? or going to a remote set of couplers?

On another note, I use different color tie wraps to mark hose and couplers. I have found them in blk, wht, yel, red, blu, org, grn,and even purple. The 245 loader on my JD 2030 used different color plastic rings on the hoses and couplers. All the dust plugs were black. That's where I got the idea. I think JD was using colored tie wraps on their newer offerings, but I was not aware of it when I stole the idea. At that time all I could afford was 20 year old equipment.:)

You can't power both valves at the same time;) The valve that's powered will have pressure in the QD's attached to that valve (When the 3rd SCV lever is activated)

Yes, that is correct. This valve only "diverts" fluid, it does not control it. So the 3rd SCV lever is still used to control the cylinder, the diverter only selects which cylinder to control.

An elegant solution if you ask me! Sorry to take over your post Hanson:thumbsup:

Oh, BTW any DPDT switch could be used as long as it's rated for the amperage of the valves, but the double lighted one Hanson used is COOL!

Ok, I understand how it works now:thumbsup: One SCV, Two diverters, Three choices. NICE! Really good choice of switches too.

Hanson,

One more question if you don't mind. How are the valves stacked? I see they are bolted together but did you use 1 o-ring per connection or two where the two valve bodies mate together? From looking at mine, the 1 o-ring supplied doesn't seem thick enough to seal the side of each different valve body.

I think your design has encouraged me to add a second valve so I can have
3 functions instead of the 2 that I just finished installing. Oh well, it was good practice.

Thanks,
Mike

mike,

Just 1 o ring per port. Two would never work they would squish out. So far its working great i'm real happy with the setup.

An update on the switch, i never did find the part # but i got it at napa. it is a carling switch double lighted. They can look them up easy.

Kenny,

I used a spdt not a dpdt. Not that a dpdt wouldn't work......

I have a 3320 and have read virtually every post about adding remotes to the back end of the tractor and I think this is the sweetest I have seen. I have already ordered one valve.
GREAT JOB..:D
