Hey Robert, I got the bradco fork mount from Voelker's. I think the cost was right around $300 for the fork mount, I didn't get the forks with it because they would have cost around $350 and if my home made forks don't work I think that I can look around a pick up some used one's for about $70. We took the boys to big air a few times last summer, I also took the two older ones out to the trails by White Cloud. They said that they really liked both the track and trails. The trails that I have on my property are getting better every year, and I've been making jumps and such for them, now that I have my new tractor. I'm totally amaized at how easy it is to revamp the track and jumps with the deere. Do you ride dirt bike? Thanks for the post, did you get the pm that I sent you? Have a great day!

Larry, I used to ride MX to keep in shape for SnoCross but I looped out on a double at Big Air and blew out my Knee. After the surgery I took up mountain biking and never looked back. My partner and his boys still ride maybe you know his oldest, Zach Pattyn, he just qualified for the Winter X-Games in SnowCross.

Hey Robert, I rode at big air sometime back around the mid eighties in one race, it had rained so much the track was all gooie from the clay, I had never been on the ground so many times as that day, I never went back until last summer when we took the boys over to ride. I took my kdx 200 over (set up for the woods) and when I finally got the guts to jump it over a double I hit the face of the jump and went *** over tea kettle, that was the last time I rode there. I like the woods much better. Do you still race sleds? My cousins race snocross (the Careys) they are up to the soo this weekend racing. I think that I've heard of Zach from being around the cousins. I went with them last year down to the silverdome and watched them race. I'm still curious if you are related to the bakers that went to MSHS and lived on mill pond road. I'll have to ask the cousins about Zach to see if maybe they know him. Well thanks for the post, have a great week!

Small world Larry, I know the Carey boys well, we have helped them with studs for years through Studboy Traction. I gave up racing sleds 5 years ago, also due to injury. No relation to the Bakers you grew up with but I did go to Ferris 73-77.

Larry,

You did one heck of a job on those plows, they look beautiful! I know there was a lot of hard work between this picture is of an old plow ... that's been sitting in the woods for at least 16yrs and here's the finished plow all painted. Did you sandblast them? It sure looks like it. Very nice.

Man, that rig looks so cool all yellow-and-greened up like that, it's making me want to get a Deere. (That, and the incredible job JD did on the (all-American) Twenty Series, once they kicked Yanmar to the curb).

Anyway, great job, that is a sweet-looking machine.

Take care, John D.

Thank you John D. wow with that name you should own green! But anyhow, I cheated, since we never know when we're gonna get snow I had to do a hurry up job on the paint, I used rustoleum and gave it about 3 heavy coats with a brush. I wanted to paint it with my spray gun but with the harley in the garage,,,,,not a chance! I did that once and thought that I had the bike completely covered, then one of my buddies put a fan on the work bench to blow the fumes out of the garage. Can you imagine the look on my face when I pulled the sheets off my orange bike with all of the white overspray on it? It took alot of elbow grease to get it off. I need to build a small shed with heat to put the bike in, but that's not in the near future I guess. Thank you for the Kudo's on the tractor I really appr. it! Have a great week!
