Hello,
I recently broke a pin (6806971) in my latching X-change, seems hard to believe given it's size. I believe the lock pin fell out and the pin worked it's way out then broke off. It appears that on it's way out the pin took the bushing with it, as it is half way out and cracked around the perimeter. I have new parts including the "Press Bushing Fit, 6802889". My question is, is removing and replacing the bushings something I can do on my own with some improvising or do I need to take it to a machine shop? I do not own a press, but I do own a vise, and usually get things like this done on my own. Any suggestions on approach, heating x-change, cooling bushing, large bolt/nut with sockets for spacers,....etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Jack
