Hey Guys

Having a lot of fun picking out the tractor I want and shopping. I can't believe some of the quotes I have been getting. These guys must get a lot of people who have no idea of what these tractors are going for.

L3430HSTC, R4's, 723 loader w/QA and heavy duty c-style bucket

1) Best quote $24,750. This is from a dealer that carries Case but has sells Kubota at another store location. Good guys. I bought my 68in Meteor for $1550 from them.
I have a feeling that $24,750 is a fair price but would like some confirmation.

2) $26,900 This is from a guy from my origonal hometown....I was expecting better but he is looking into it deeper now that I told him about the $24750

3) 27,200 joke

3) Bigger joke, Last guy wouldn't even put an actual price on it he just said OH around 27k or 28k. Yea right /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have no problem giving a dealer a fair profit margin but some of these guys arereally trying to grab a handfull.

Anyone else with similar stories?

The $24,750 seems like a good price to me.

Tom,

Your lowest price looks consistent with what I paid. I'm not suprised to see the variation in your quotes. I have two Kubota dealers within 18 miles from my house. The dealer I purchased from was $24,350.00, the other dealer, I believe, had the L3430HSTC priced around $26.7K, and that was with a LA513, R1's, and no quick attach /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.

When I was pricing L3130's the prices varied from the 18k's through the $20k's.

Your quote of $24,750.00 with the heavy duty FEL bucket sounds pretty good.

Hi Tom,

There are many posts on TBN that clearly shows the price of Kubotas vary from one region to another. Just to help in your shopping/negotiating, here is what I paid in Western North Carolina for the tractor I just picked up yesterday:

L3830 - $17,000
LA723 FEL with standard bucket and QA - $4,100
Woods 72" brush hog - $1,400
Woods 72" Box Blade - $766

Total: $23,266.00

Hope this helps.
Good luck,
Larry

Tom,

Sorry, I forgot to mention that my 3830 has HST and R4 tires.

Tom,

I too have been pricing the same setup and finally settled on a local dealer whom matched the best price I could find. Based on what you got, I would say that you got a good deal, slightly better than what I was able to get. I did not opt for the Stereo as I think I can do better on my own for this option.

Hope you enjoy your new Tractor!

Hey Guys

I've got an unfortunate update to make regarding the quoting process for the 3430hstc I would love to have. Ill try to make this as short as possible, I priced several dealers and got best price but found out later that a guy from my hometown works as a salesman for one of the dealers that quoted higher. Normally I would have just bought from the lowest price guy but I gave the "hometown boy" another shot and gave him the pricing info from the dealer that had the lowest price and said "because my dad knows you I'll buy from you if you match the $24750. He called back and said he couldn't see how the other dealer could get to that price and that he must have missed something. He then asked who the dealer was and who I spoke to. I had no problem giving him the info but now wish I hadn't. The dealer with the $24750 price e-mails and says he missed the heavy duty bucket, apologizes and that it is an extra $750.

Now I am quite sure the two talked and I'm a little ****** about it to say the least. I mean, this would pay for the Box blade I was thinking about. I am really stretching my finances on this thing as it is. Learned a lesson, salesman think you are a ******* when you keep your mouth shut about other dealers quotes but this should be an excellent example of why you should just ask for their best price and keep your mouth shut when they start asking questions about your search (even if they know your family). Now I am thinking about going further away from my area or even out of state for quotes.

Tom, I sent you a PM on this post, basically concluded that you should email a bunch of dealers to see what kind of quotes you get.

That would irritate me, I would be tempted to confront both of them, you are the customer, seems like sometimes they forget that. I get so tired of the poor customer service you recieve from so many places now days. Keep us posted, I am interested to hear what you find out from these guys. I think I would be tempted to walk into the place that gave you the best quote at first and say lets do the deal at the first quote price. If they won't walk out, there are other dealers....
