345 deck removal

Easy. Spring loaded lever allows you to remove belt in 2 seconds. Next lower deck and undo both lift pins. Then remove quick detach bracket in front. Raise lift arms and slide deck out from underneath. I could remove my deck from 325 in just under a minute

The one I did the morning wasn't bad. unhook the belt tension rod on left side of deck, remove drive belt, pull the pins out on the rear of each side of the deck, move deck forward to unhook the front hanging rod, pull out bracket on left side of tractor and pivot the front hanger and remove, turn tractor wheels to one side, and slide out the deck.

Two of you are removing the deck lift pins first, before the draft front hanger (bail).

That bail should be removed first, as then the lift pins do not have any tension on them.

Just sayin...

No you can do either or in any order. The first thing you do is release the belt and that removes the tension everywhere

That's all. Got is off. Deck and trailer went in the truck, tractor went on the trailer. I'm a John Deere owner now.

Correct, and when you put it back on you need to do the same in reverse order or you will make it hard on yourself:

1) Attach rear pins
2) Attach front hanger
3) Install belt

Also, rememeber to set your mowing height to zero and turn the wheels before you remove the deck, then do the reverse after installing.

The deck wheels had not been moved for a long time. The bearings are gone on a couple of them. I had to spray WD40 on 2 of the pins. One one of them, the pin broke when I was trying to pry it out with a screwdriver. I didn't pry it 'that' hard. It must have been weakened already. But now I have a chunk of pin stuck in a wheel that is stuck on the deck. I'm hoping I can get a new pin and get the old one out.
