So I see a table and chair back there. Did you make any back country meals out there? They are the best!

airbiscuit, this was the cuisine until spring. Just melt water water bottle and add to the cold weather meals. Pretty good really

Now you're talking.

When we were snowmobiling in Canada, they would cut a few slots down an old stump and cook on top of that. Food in the wild is the best.

That must have involved a lot of trips. What does the final destination look like?

Hey Freezerburn, will you have utility power to you place or will you be off-grid living? If you'll have utility power and you made comment about freeze dried meals, you might want to invest in a home freeze dryer. I got one a few years back and it's great! Can make you own freeze dried meals, seasoned the way you would like. Being in Alaska, if you put in a garden, you could can and freeze dry. Itll make some healthy and nutritious snacks! Just a thought. Hope your not stuck in a peat bog!
