When I said "drain and flush the fluids" I meant all of them, not just the engine, transmission and differentials. Don't forget the power steering, the brake system, the clutch system (if equipped), coolant reservoir, and even the windshield washer. Yes, there are spray contact cleaners for electronics. Acetone if you can keep it off of rubber and plastic. For sure pull the computer right away, clean and dry the contacts.

May want the try the "rice" trick with the computer. Supposedly works with cell phones. Take out the computer and and bury it in a bucket of rice, it should suck the moisture out (so I've been told)

Works even better if you put the rice in a pan, then put it in the oven set at 150.

If it's an extened cab now would be a great time to get a 98.5 or newer quad cab with 4 doors (the back two open opposite of the front two).

I'd bet the cab can come from a gas truck 1/2 ton - 1 ton.

Update. The recovery people from the insurance company will be here tomorrow. They will take it to a central location for a evaluater to look at. At that time they will make me a offer to settle on my insurance. What should I expect to be a reasonable offer? Dodge 3500 Cummins Diesel, 4x4, one owner, Never wrecked and under 70K miles with 6 new tires. Ken Sweet

The sun roof on my vehicle leaked for a while before I finally figured out where the leak was coming from. IMO, the single best way to dry auto upholstery and carpets is with a big box fan blowing through the cabin. Convection for the win.
