Branson's Tier IV engines use a low temp continual regen scheme. There's no discrete regen cycle like on other DPF equipped tractors.
Possibly one could determine that the runaway was caused by crankcase oil fumes by looking in the intake tract after the crank breather to see if there's oil from the breather in there.
There's a lever on the fuel injection pump that I am pretty sure is a mechanical shutoff. It's the one that's not connected to anything. Ours primarily uses an electric shutoff solenoid which gets energized for some seconds when you turn the ignition off.
