I assume the recall is for the rockshaft control valve gasket replacement. That is the only current program I am aware of.

I wasn't aware of any recall! Anyone tell me what the rockshaft control valve gasket replacement consist of? I mean how much down time? Are they tearing into it? Or is this an easy fix? I know its a recall just wondering what they are going to do to her!
Thanks

What happens when the gasket goes bad? What year is your machine? I have a 2012 3520 and I haven't got a recall notice

Details please. Because the entire 3x20 series likely uses that same gasket.

I've got a 2009. But as stated I would imagine the gasket was used for a couple of years.

But I've been known to be wrong before.

Oh. I would have thought something like a gasket would be a TSB and not a recall. a recall would cost millions and involve all 3000 twenty machines even ones out of warranty. usually recalls are for safety issues. Well with vehicles anyway. Don't qoute me on this because I don't know for sure

There was a crack in my rear final drive, 2011 3520. It was due to faulty installation of the backhoe sub frame. There was an abnormally long delay (2 weeks) for the gaskets to come in. I wonder if that delay was related to a recall related supply issue?

Nope. Been kind of waiting myself. I called the dealer to schedule my appointment. They asked me if I could drop it off or they would swing over to pick it, no charge. I don't know if that's normal service but I liked the fact they would pick it up. Dealer said I'm looking at 1 week down time. That's bout it.

I had mine fixed in 2008, as the first time I put my flail mower on the tractor's 3PT, it started trying to dance and acting like it had the hiccups (shuddering and shaking pretty hard). I sent it to the dealer and they executed the warranty fix.

I would like to know also. I have a 2009 3120. I assume the 3000 series are all the same.

I wouldn't worry about it. If this is pre- 2008, they have installed the new part from the factory after that.

both of our 2011's 3520 3720 have already been done 1 day is all they seem to need . mine goes tomarrow

i guess they are pulling left wheel , taking a cover off replacing a gasket that fails and putting it back together and sending them home , seems like a service truck could handle that my 08 comes back in the am . that's all i got on the recall

I called my JD dealer and they said there was a recall notice on my 2010 3520 for the Rockshaft Control Valve Gasket Repalcement. I asked when was I going to be notified and he said when the work order came thru.

Setting up an appointment sometime next week.

Glad I saw it here on TBN so I can go ahead and get it done at my convenience.

I assume a JD recall will be of no cost to me. I'm still under warranty so either way I've got it covered.
