should I get a 1 or 2 bottom plow? My Oliver 550 Has tranny issues. 2 and 4 are good. 3 is out and 1 clicks alot, so i will have to pull in 2nd gear, this year anyhow.
35Hp @ drawbar pull 2 bottom plow in 2nd gear?

2 bottom. You'll turn alot more ground on each pass, and your 550 might be able to pull a 2 bottom in 4th gear.

You should be able to find a 2-14 or 2-16 plow fairly easily. Spring trip is an important feature if you are doing new or rocky ground.
I would encorage you to hold out for a 2-16 plow if you had a solid 3rd gear, but without 3rd gear a 2-14 would give you better odds of plowing in 4th.
