3720 Cab - A snow-blowing monster

Yes, these blowers work in reverse. There are front mount snowblowers, but they are typically more difficult to install and more expensive. I like having the loader on so you have the option of pushing the snow with the bucket or blowing it. The constant looking backwards can be a pain in the neck though.

Wow, that's a nice rig... wish I could borrow it for a while. ;)

Don't normally get a lot of snow here and I figured my 3520 would be "put to bed" until March when mowing season returns. But we got about a foot of snow the other day and I was out with the open-station tractor & FEL cutting a path through 3' drifts so we could get down the driveway. Even with my unloaded tires, traction was never an issue.

Now thats what I like! A JD tractor and a Ford truck! :)

Not just a Ford truck but a Ford SuperDuty truck!:D All that is missing is the "John Deere" license plate on the front bumper of the awesome SuperDuty. I'd show you an example but my digital camera is at home.

I have a 59" front mount blower with the new 3-point mount system , it takes about 5 minutes max to hook up, with practice maybe 3 minutes! I have a back blade for trimming and clean up.

GreenMtns: Do you have a close up picture of that bucket? That really looks aggressive.

The tooth bar is from Markham and the top bar is for the grapple. It is pretty aggressive and that is good for working in hard ground. I take the bars off in the winter for use removing snow. Right now I am using it to move brush and clean up around before winter. As I write "before winter" it is snowing outside.

GreenMtns; is that the foundry bucket and skid steer adapter mount?

It is a Skid Steer adapter on the tractor. The bucket is one that came on my Kioti CK30 and I had a Skid Steer adaptor plate welded onto it. I have a boom pole that mounts with the SS plate.

Since I had mounted a grapple onto this bucket, I didn't let the bucket go with the tractor. I added the John Deere 3rd function kit to the JD3520 and pluged in and away we went. :) :)

So, craning your neck all night is great fun? (!) No thanks. Not with a cab, not with an ipod, not even with naked women.
I like snow. And when it falls, I usually am happy to leave it right where it is :D

Who said I craned my neck all night? I know I never said I craned my neck, so I guess you don't know what your saying here....

When I do blow snow, I sit semi sideways in the seat (And Yes it is still comfortable!) use my left foot on the HYDRO'S instead of my right foot. It's pretty easy and it doesn't bother me.

Now could I have a Front blower instead? Of course! But what you don't realize is the fact that for my purposes I still need my loader too... I would say most of my work is 50/50. Half Loader Half Snow Blower... so this is the best solution for me... It isn't nearly as bad as what you guys seem to make it out to be to have a rear snowblower. And also keep in mind the snow blower does it's job so quick that a 700' driveway with a foot of snow on it takes about 5 minutes at the most! I think you could turn you body sideways for five minutes... unless you are someone that happens to be totally obese. One trip up the driveway, one trip down the driveway with a 74" blower.

I also know this, I would rather turn my body and sit semi sideways and use my left foot on the Hydros for a few minutes at a time vs FREEZE MY BUTT OFF, and Look like a snowman when I'm done...

So yes, it is fun, it is fun in the heat, fun with the tunes, fun even without naked women....
