3720 Cab: Rear Brakes Keep Getting Stuck

Not trying to hijack the thread but FF and PB as Penetrant? FF has been useless IMO and PB is "better then most".....if you want REAL Penetrant, nothing beats Kroil.

I have heard heard of Kroil, but I have NEVER seen it for sale in my area! I have had great luck with both FF and PBB.

But the most important part of my comment was to get rid of the WD40-peeing on it is sometimes more effective.

I've never seen it here locally either. I buy it by the case direct from Kroil...its that good.. My Dad (and the whole Maintenance Dept at the mill he used to work at) SWEARS by it..ALL the Kano Labs products are really good actually.

Definetly worth it...you'll never go back to anything else...

Ok my brakes m ay be working now. They do respond with pedal pressure and return to a normal position when released. I think I saw Kroil here at our local store so I am going to get some. I want to get some good penetration on this. After that sits a while and I get a chance to move everything till it works smoothly I will spray it all with fluid film. Put on the wheel and take it for a test drive. So far my conclusion is that the mechanism is getting alot of dirt water road grim etc. around it so it is prone to getting sticky. I think taking it apart and putting anti seize on it would be best but I am not satisfied with the jd parts diagram so will avoid that if this works. Probably have the local shop do that for me at some point. I will keep a healthy portion of fluid fil on it to guard against further problems.

finished my test drive right brake works perfectly made a really nice tight turn and released as it was supposed to. Left brake works both right and left sides stops the tractor nicely and releases correctly but I do not have my left only side. The diagram shows a spring on the right side but I do not see any place t attach one. Is there supposed to be a spring somewhere to hold the right brake open when using left only? Otherwise This fixed the problem.
