First let me say THANK YOU to all those who gave their opinions and advice during my decision making process.

Working night shift did not stop me from getting up early this morning to meet the dealer as he unlocked the gates. My new L3800 was delivered to The Little Horse Farm along with an auger, box scraper and bale spear. I think it took about .25 seconds for me to start tearing up the ground.

All I can say is WOW!

Last week I tried digging with a post hole digger and failed (Georgia clay). I rented a powered auger from Home Depot and with two women and one man we made it 16" in one hour; hence the motivation for a new tractor purchase!

Ok... this little tractor packs a punch! I tore up that hole with the back hoe and then tried out the FEL on some grading the the same area. I haven't gotten around to taking pictures except for one right before the tractor was loaded on the trailer. I'll keep you all updated and post some pictures ASAP.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!

OK ... So I've got 5 hours in my new 3800 and have already torn up some metal

Pictured...Me at work with the new Bush Hog Auger. I've always done fence by hand or with a small powered auger. This sucker goes through clay like its butter!

Looks nice....... how did you ever live without it? Like that tooth bar your dealer installed.

Not sure! In two hours I leveled and graded two tandem dump loads of dirt. I moved a downed tree I cut up last week in under 15 minutes. Dug out a 10" tree stump in 5 minutes flat. Cut a service entrance, 12 foot in width... finished the day off by removing the backhoe and sunk ten 4x6 posts to 36 inches in about an hour and a half.

Tomorrow I'll dig some more holes and start pouring the cement!

I'm still laughing ... got in before dark!

Howdy boys and girls... some more pictures for you.

This is proof the 2011 L3800 packs a punch. This is an average 4x5 hay bale rolled on new equipment. You can't get your hand into the bale center ... that's how tight it is!

The average weight this year has been right around 1000 lbs. We're estimating over 1100lbs on these bales as they are baled tight.

My little tractor with 10 hours on it easily lifted the bale from my pickup truck. I backed away, drove through the gate and traveled about 150 yards and dropped it. The tractor had no troubles lifting the bale to max lift height (see pictures). I traveled with the bale about 1 foot off the ground with the box blade hanging on the hitch for ballast.

I can post pictures of my property which is rolling hills. Today it was raining and Georgia clay is slick. The tractor handled great and in my opinion the AG tires work perfectly in this environment.

Have a great Friday!

Congratulations littehorsefarm,

I got the exact same tractor with FEL and a backhoe for 8 days now. Can't wait to wake up and sit on it!

I'm currently using the backhoe to get rid of water on my wet part of land. I spent 16 hrs and I still have around 100 hrs more to come. It's a real plaesure using this useful machine. No regrets for me!

Nice rig. Told ya it could do it :) My L3400 has not dissapointed.

I have a similar rig.

I replace the plastic toolbox with a steel one, after a branch removed the plastic one for me.

Other than that, it's been great!

Although it looks like you've got lots of air in the front tires, they should be at 36 PSI for heavy loader work. Mine were at 25 and developed serious bulges in the sidewalls.

It's nice to see yours handle round bales like that. We may have to go to round bales in a few years and it's good to know a similar size tractor can handle them.
